A well-decorated golden chariot of Lord Surya (the sun god) is shown with seven horses. The saffron flag is flying high on the top of the chariot.

Lord Surya is with consorts Sanjana and Chhaya.

Aruna, the charioteer, is directing seven horses. Names of these seven horses are Gayatri, Brihati, Ushnih, Jagati, Trishtubha, Anushtubha and Pankti.
