Bana which means the arrow.
It was normally made of wood, and is tipped with a metallic point, its tail-end having a few feathers stuck in it.
The arrows are put into a quiver slung on the back. An arrow is extracted from it for use with the aid of the fore-finger and the middle-finger and shoot with Dhanusa.
