Sculpture Information:

Dancing Ganesha sculpture is located on the outer walls of Siddheshwara Temple at Toka in Newasa, Maharashtra (India). The temple was built by Peshwas around 1767 in Hemadpanthi style.

Lord Ganesha is in the dancing position. He is carrying his weapons – Ankusa (goad) in the left hand and Parasu
(battle axe) and in the right.

An adorable part of the sculpture is how Ganesha is eating modak (a sweet) with his trunk even while dancing.

His lower right hand is touching his lap as a part of the dance pose. He is carrying a piece of his broken tusk in the same hand.

He is wearing Ghungaroos on his feet to add rhythm to his dance.
