Kubera is the god of wealth and prosperity in hiduism.
In some sources, especially in Jain depictions, Kubera is depicted as a drunkard, signified by the “nectar vessel” in his hand. This sculpture is close to the Jain depiction of Kubera.
Dwarf god Kubera is holding nectar vessel in right hand and mongoose in left hand.
His consort is pouring nectar in Kubera’s vessel.
The sculpture was obtained from northern India. It dates back to 10th century and made up of sandstone.
