Subhadra Haran

Album of popular prints mounted on cloth pages. Colour lithograph, lettered, inscribed and numbered 60. Subhadra, the half sister of Krishna, drives a chariot away from Dwarka with Arjuna and Krishna inside.

Krishna is helping his half-sister and uncle elope to Indrapastha; it is she who controls the chariot in order to convince the disapproving family that she was not abducted.
