Introduction:
Kubera is a Hindu deity of wealth and protector of prosperity. Kubera is often depicted as a dwarf, with complexion of lotus leaves and a big belly.

Sculpture Information:

Dwarf God Kubera is seated with a nectar vessel / pot in his hand. He has big mustache which are commonly seen in Yakshas. To mention – Kubera is the king of yakshas.

He is wearing big karna-kundalas (ear rings) and a solid ornament around his neck.

This sculpture obtained from Uttar Pradesh (India) and is from circa 5th Century.

It is made with reddish brown terracotta with visible traces of black and white paint.
